The Redskins got the ball first and came out firing. Alex Smith hit Jordan Reed for a 7 yard gain on 1st down. The Redskins tried to get the 1st down with Adrian Peterson but the hole closed quickly, and AD only gained 2 yards. Smith hit his old friend Vernon Davis, who lined up at FB, in the flat for a 20 yard gain. Alex Smith then stepped up on 1st down and threw a bomb to Paul Richardson. P-Rich caught the ball and then got back up and got into the end zone for a 46 yard TD. The Redskins needed a fast start to keep Aaron Rodgers and the Packers on their heels playing catchup. This is a big change from the offense we saw last week against the Indianapolis Colts.
Richardson 46-yard TD - Deep post. Appeared to be bracketed by the safety, who did a poor job. Smith took the shot, nice adjustment by Richardson to get back to the ball and awareness to get in after being down untouched, #Redskins pic.twitter.com/WBLuYvO0kI
