The Redskins did not disappoint in Week 1. They went to the dome in the desert and dismantled the hapless Arizona Cardinals. It was a throwback game to when the Cardinals were the easy win in the NFC East.
Were the Cardinals that bad, or were the Redskins that good? Probably both, but it was a needed win in a game they should win. Now they face the Indianapolis Colts who are coming off a rough loss to the Bengals. They were outscored 17-0 in the 4th quarter, and lost 34 - 23.
Andrew Luck is back after missing the 2017 season with a shoulder injury. Luck was 39 for 53 for 319 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. If Luck has to throw the ball 53 times this week it's going to be a long day for him with starting LT Anthony Castonzo out.
Luck has never had a good offensive line, but the Colts have invested in a 1st round center(Ryan Kelly) and a 1st round guard(Quenton Nelson) in the last three years. But LT and RT should be an issue this week, and the Redskins will attempt to feast on Luck Sunday.
The Redskins were run-first last week and dominated the Cardinals defense with Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson. Washington is still banged up at WR, with Trey Quinn and Cams Sims going to IR this week. Paul Richardson and Maurice Harris are also questionable. But we got Brian Quick back!
The Redskins are 6 point favorites in their first home game of the season.
