In a move that most people expected to happen this week, WR Brian Quick will reportedly re-sign with the Redskins. Washington lost WRs Trey Quinn and Cam Sims to high ankle sprains while both were playing special teams on Sunday. Both players were carted to the locker room and on crutches yesterday.
Jay Gruden said they were still waiting on MRIs to determine how much time they would miss, and what roster moves needed to be made. The team is also missing #4 WR Maurice Hsrris who is still in the concussion protocol.
Re-signing Brian Quick was the obvious answer if either receiver was expected to miss time(Sorry, not sorry Dez Bryant fans). Quick signed a vet minimum deal with the Redskins the last two years, and just lost his 6th spot on the team to Sims this year. His new deal won't be guaranteed, and the team now has cheap insurance in case more injuries happen.
The Redskins also have Simmie Cobbs Jr., Darvin Kidsy. and newly-signed Jehu Chesson available on the practice squad.
There has been no word on whether Quinn or Sims will be placed on IR, but they could both be looking at a long recovery.

As we wait for the Redskins to reveal their corresponding roster move, my sense is Quinn or Sims to IR. Mo Harris remains uncertain going forward, however. Week 2 very much in doubt.
