In our penultimate episode of “Offseason On The Brink” we play to the fans, the fantasy fans, this week from 1st Amendment Sports Basement Podcast Studios. While Kev’s eyes glazed over we discussed the practical implications of decisions going on in draft rooms all across the country, and considered which Redskins, if any, are worthy of selection to fantasy football squads to earn you some pride, scratch, or both.
It’s also our first show since Adrian Peterson made his debut in Burgundy and Gold, and with one performance it’s become clear that he will likely be on the field for the Redskins’ first first down play of the 2018 season. However, with his emergence there will undoubtedly be some tough questions about who stays and who earns a shirt on week one. While consensus doesn’t make for great podcasting, both our hosts and our amazing Facebook live commenters found themselves in relatively general agreement about how the tailback situation will play out.
We closed out the evening with a three round draft for all time Redskins defensive players. Naturally, the obvious choices were removed but there was plenty of back and forth about who was left out of the mix.
One more week of OOTB before we return for another season of After The Whistle. Thanks to everyone for tuning in, be sure to follow to 1st Amendment Sports on Facebook to stay up to date on all of our additional DC-sports content. We’re working on incorporating more of your thoughts into our conversation on a weekly basis, so thanks to everyone for being apart of the conversation!
