It was a cruel, tough first week of preseason for the Redskins. The Audible Gang gathered together in the basement of 1st Amendment Sports Basement Podcast Studios to try to regain some perspective following the loss of promising rookie running back Derrius Guice who went down with a season-ending ACL injury in Washington’s first preseason tilt against the New England Patriots.
In spite of the loss, both on the scoreboard and in the depth chart, Ken remains steadfast that the 2018 Redskins season was always going to be all about Alex Smith.
Not to leave it all up to the ‘Skins new quarterback, we turned to the Facebook comments to discuss which position group is more likely to gain an extra player with an additional open roster spot this year, and came up with plenty to feel optimistic about at wide receiver, linebacker, and maybe even safety.
As always, we appreciate the lively input and encourage everyone to give a follow to 1st Amendment Sports on Facebook to stay up to date on all of our additional DC-sports content. We’re working on incorporating more of your thoughts into our conversation on a weekly basis, so thanks to everyone for tuning in!
