Redskins players and coaches held the sixth day of training camp in Richmond, VA yesterday. Day 7 of practices starts today at 9:45am.

A lighter day for the starters, but more impressive play from Maurice Harris and Fabian Moreau. More from Thursday's practice notes. https://t.co/XM6TVVxY5q

Rookie report: Receiver Trey Quinn has impressed teammates with his savviness. He's not fast, but he understands leverage on routes and that enables him to create separation. However, he did not have his best day catching the ball, dropping two passes... https://t.co/qDouycCC45

Two receivers who are having strong camps: Maurice Harris and Brian Quick. Jay Gruden praised Harris' route-running and hands; a big separator for him in the past has been not being able to provide much help on special teams. But Harris' hands remain... https://t.co/hokck5GIqS

-Fantasy agony and ecstasy
-A light day of work

One of the things that's evident in training camp is how much Alex Smith and Colt McCoy keep plays alive. It forces the receivers to run their routes hard, even if they're not involved in the play. They don't know when Smith or McCoy will escape the... https://t.co/8Lh48VLjKk

Fabian Moreau with a nice pick on a Colt McCoy pass during a 2 min drill scrimmage.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
Every time the DBs make a play, Swearinger gets real talkative real quick.
Fabian Moreau just picked off Colt McCoy. Moreau has quietly strung together a nice couple of days.

Fumbled snap sees WONDERBREAD Troy Apke scoop it up and run 80 yards to the house against Kevin Hogan.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
He didn't need to run more than 10 yards, but he wasn't stopping.
The ongoing battle between Byron Marshall and Kapri Bibbs for what is surely one available roster spot continues to be intriguing.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
It's wide open. I have it maybe scored at 51/49 for Bibbs right now.
Bad snap causes a fumble. Kevin Hogan never saw it. I believe Casey Dunn was the center
— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) August 2, 2018
For most of camp, Martrell Spaight has been working with the third unit at inside linebacker. Spaight has been a key backup the last few years, but the team drafted Dion Hamilton and have Harvey Clemons, Vigil ahead of him. (Plus the starters)
— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) August 2, 2018
Rob Kelley punches in a TD with the 2nd unit and violently spikes the football in front of Deshazor Everett.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
Deshazor shoves him away, but literally 1 second later they're laughing about it together. #Redskins
Danny Johnson continues to impress
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 2, 2018
DJ Swearinger to fan in Dallas Jersey here at Redskins Training camp “by the way that Cowboy is ugly” EXCELLENT #REDSKINS
— Chick Hernandez (@MrChickSports) August 2, 2018
Zach Brown has a nice interception on a deflection by Montae Nicholson. Moments later Maurice Harris made an acrobatic catch down field that had the crowd buzzing. #Redskins
— Brian McNally (@bmcnally14) August 2, 2018
Absurd catch from Mo Harris on the sideline over two defenders. Discussed on pod yesterday, Doctson missing a day or two is good for Harris. More reps.
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 2, 2018
Trey Quinn has had a good camp, but he's dropped two passes in short succession this morning.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
Both very catchable.
There's a DeAngelo Hall impersonator here. Full dress. Fans taking pics with. pic.twitter.com/WlOKOTcAiY
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) August 2, 2018
Josh Norman has been on his haunches on the sideline for a couple of minutes after landing hard on the Brown pick play.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
The wind got knocked out of him it seems.
Smith tries Norman in a blitz period and JNo tips it out of Quick’s hands for a Zach Brown INT. Norman is a little fuzzy after. On a knee on the sideline.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) August 2, 2018
Josh Norman went down hard on a pass break up. Seems fine but had to hurt
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 2, 2018
Hats off to Pete Robertson. Just took a 1-on-1 rep against Scherff and made him work. Dude is having a great camp.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) August 2, 2018
Josh Harvey-Clemons with the nice strip of Derrius Guice. #Redskins
— Lake Lewis Jr (@LakeLewis) August 2, 2018
Morgan Moses slow to get up after a one-on-one rep with Ryan Anderson. Ginger on his ankle, which obviously isn’t good. He had both surgically repaired this off-season.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) August 2, 2018
Dunbar has jammed a finger trying to bat a ball against Brian Quick.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
He subs out immediately in a bit of pain.
It's time for your daily Derrius Guice hype;
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
Gets the carry to the right and quick-cuts back inside. De-cleats Pete Robinson in doing so and finds huge space ahead of him.#Redskins
With the twos, Kapri Bibbs another nice outside run to the left.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
He's got good speed and good agility.
Mason Foster is back in team drills. Lots of guys sitting today. Kerrigan taking a vet day. Obviously Doctson is out. Limiting Crowder and Richardson’s reps.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) August 2, 2018
Snap two and Snap three were both incomplete passes. One intended for Brian Quick, and one intended for Mo Harris. #Redskins
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
#Redskins fans don't really know about Maurice Harris. They might soon and Paul Richardson can't see why they don't already. My story: https://t.co/2vyAGoxGXq
— Jacob Myers (@Jacob_Myers_25) August 1, 2018
Trent Williams is about as important as any player for the #Redskins. Jay Gruden called him the "best tackle in the NFL" https://t.co/okmVnwPkX8
— Jacob Myers (@Jacob_Myers_25) August 2, 2018
The Redskins’ trash-talking defensive backs have their hands full with Alex Smith. My Post Express column. https://t.co/g3Miyybmkv
— Rick Snider (@Snide_Remarks) August 2, 2018
Not sure how much 11 on 11 or 7 on 7 we are going to get today with Gruden calling it a scheduled "light day".
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) August 2, 2018
Here during OL drills the full starting OL including Williams and Moses are doing some scheme/formation work unopposed. #Redskins
Only two players fielding punts today.
