Josh Doctson had precautionary MRI done on leg

No damage was found!

NFL: Washington Redskins-Minicamp Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Richmond.com's Paul Woody first reported that Redskins WR Josh Doctson had a precautionary MRI done on his leg yesterday. There was reportedly no damage found and Doctson is expected to participate in conditioning drills tomorrow before camp opens on Thursday.

Any report of an MRI for Doctson raises concerns due to his injury history since joing the Redskins as their 1st round pick in 2016. His rookie season was essentially lost due to Achilles issues. Last season he dealt with hamstring issues in camp, but was able to play a full season with 35 receptions for 502 yards and 6 TDs. The Redskins are looking for big things from him this season, and a healthy Doctson will be a big weapon for QB Alex Smith.
