This is the last position group ranking in the series.
Training camp starts in just over a week, and we’re less than a month out from the preseason opener against the Patriots.
Since we’ve already ranked every other position group, today, I thought we’d take a look at Safeties.
There hasn’t been a lot of change at the starting safety position for the 4 teams in the NFC East as compared to 2017.
I’ve included DB Adonis Alexander — taken in the 6th round of the supplementary draft — in this list for Washington, as it is unclear whether he will play CB or S for the Redskins.
I’ve left Byron Jones on the list of Cowboy safeties, but the comments section of the CB ranking article said that the Cowboys plan to move him to CB this season. Keep that in mind when evaluating the position group.
