Former Redskins GM Charley Casserly is one of the latest NFL.com contributors to talk favorably about the squad the Redskins have assembled this season. Casserly believes the Redskins have a “terrific” trio (kinda) of players that can take the team far on offense specifically citing the running prowess of Derrius Guice and Chris Thomson as well as the receiving and mismatch ability of Jordan Reed and Jamison Crowder. You can watch Casserly’s full take here. In another video here, Casserly also details why he thinks Alex Smith is an upgrade over Cousins.

Recently other NFL.com contributors such as Marc Sessler and Reggie Wayne have also given reasons why the Redskins will make the playoffs.

Tis’ the season for kool aid what do you guys think of Casserly’s Wayne’s and Sessler’s takes? Too optimistic? Just right? Too negative?
