Tweet of the Day: Da’Ron Payne ahead of schedule

Redskins’ first-round selection Da’Ron Payne is impressing team veterans before training camp even kicks off.

Chris Thompson says that Payne can already hold his own against one of the league’s best offensive guards and fellow first-round pick Brandon Scherff.

Teammates also mentioned they believe Payne is slightly ahead of where defensive tackle Jonathan Allen was at mentally and physically heading into training camp last year.
