Trent Williams has been one of the top left tackles in the NFL for years, and his peers consistently recognize the Silverback in the Top 100 list. Williams appears on the list for the 6th straight year, appearing at #57 this year. He has been a Top 60 player for the last 5 years, despite injuries and suspensions shortening his seasons.
Trent Williams Top 100 Ranking:
2018: #57
2017: #47
2016: #45
2015: #47
2014: #60
2013: #99
Williams played through a serious knee injury that required surgery last season. He is still recovering from the injury that limited him to 10 starts for the Redskins last year.
“At the end of the day, I’m a competitor and I always want to compete with my teammates and as a leader, as a captain sometimes you have to sacrifice your body for the betterment of the team, and that’s the decision I made.”
How is Trent’s recovery going, and will he be ready to get back on the field?
“I believe I’m ahead of where I’m supposed to be. So that’s encouraging, but I still have to tell myself every day that I don’t really have to be ready until September, August. Although I am healing pretty quickly, I’m still trying to take it slow and make sure I’m 100 percent.”
