The Redskins have officially signed 7 of their picks from the 2018 draft. DaRon Payne became the first 1st round selection this year to agree to terms with the tesm that drafted them. The lone pick not signed is 3rd round OT Geron Christian. Third round picks are generally the last to sign their contracts due to a part of the new CBA that gives them a little room to negotiate their base salaries, which are not guaranteed. Fabian Moreau was the last player to sign in last year's 10-man draft class.
The #Redskins signed first-round DT Da’Ron Payne to a 4-year contract worth $14.4M, source said, all fully guaranteed. He got a $8.56M signing bonus, so adjust your spreadsheets or trackers accordingly.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) May 10, 2018
