After the #Redskins traded for QB Kevin Hogan on Friday, they’ve waived QB Stephen Morris today, I’m told.

The Redskins made one QB move on Friday, and have reportedly made another one today. Last week saw the arrival of former Chiefs and Browns QB Kevin Hogan to the Redskins QB room. Hogan(6'3", 218lbs, 25yo,) was briefly current Redskins starting QB Alex Smith's backup during his rookie year, but was cut after preseason. Hogan appeared in 8 games with 1 start during his first two years in the league with the Browns. He joins the Redskins to compete with long-time backup Colt McCoy, who is entering the final year of a 3 year deal that pays him $3.6 million this season.
The Redskins already had a 3rd string QB on the roster, former undrafted free agent Stephen Morris. He was signed to a reserve/futures contract after Washington's season was over on January 2nd. Morris has spent time on the practice squads of the Jaguars, Eagles, and Colts. The Redskins were expected to acquire a young QB either through the draft, free agency, or a trade this season. Morris was considered a long shot, and now has a chance to join another team before offseason workouts begin.
