Other side of the Draft: after drafting two defensive tackles, @Redskins release Terrell McClain. Four-year $21 million deal last year turns into one year, $7.5 million.

Terrell McClain’s time in Washington has reportedly ended. A disappointing signing that was widely panned at the time, has turned into a 1 and done for the former Dallas Cowboys DT. McClain had his contract restructured last month to remove his guaranteed base salary which made it easier to cut him. The Redskins courted free agent defensive linemen all offseason, but didn’t sign any. This weekends draft saw them draft Alabama DT Da’Ron Payne in the 1st round, and Virginia Tech DT Tim Settle in the 5th round. That sealed McClain’s fate and now he is on the streets.
UPDATE: The Redskins also cut A.J. Francis
#Redskins also cut AJ Francis, per source. New defensive line coming in Washington.
