The Redskins/Alabama pipeline continues as they take their 2nd Crimson Tide player in this year’s draft, and 4th in the last two. Washington traded up to get linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton. Hamilton has an extensive injury history, and will come in competing for a backup/special teams role.
Shaun Dion Hamilton has early-round ability, but injuries have just hammered that kid. Had a really good PFF grade in 2016. If he can ever come back 100%, he's a real talent for Washington.

Shaun Dion Hamilton: I was talking to Da'Ron [Payne] and saying we could all (Alabama Players) bring out the best in each other as Redskins. I'm willing to do whatever it takes. It's all about the team and not myself. #Redskins

Shaun Dion Hamilton: I'm going to be looking forward to coming in and getting in the playbook. I'm looking forward to playing special teams as well. #Redskins

Hamilton: “I think that I can bring a physical linebacker who’s tough. A guy who’s going to be the signal caller. A guy who’s going to make the coaches job easier and a guy who’s going to be able to make plays. Just a natural born winner."#Redskins
