Washington Redskins Select Alabama DT Da'Ron Payne In First Round Of 2018 NFL Draft

The wait is over. This ain’t no mock draft—the Redskins have made a REAL pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, and with that pick, Da'Ron Payne is now a Washington Redskin.

Man...the bar where we are recording was less than thrilled, but all of us know full well that this man can play football. Hell, some people on here like him more than Vita Vea. You just have to know that if the Redskins felt good about drafting Payne out of Alabama, they had to get the seal of approval from his battery mate, Jonathan Allen.

The trenches were addressed in a meaningful way tonight, and a need on this team was filled with a top-rated prospect. I am still getting over not getting Vita Vea...that was more upsetting than not getting Derwin James.

I will be fascinated to see the results of the poll.
