Now that the Giants have traded Jason Pierre-Paul to the Buccaneers, maybe they consider Bradley Chubb at No. 2.

The Giants are saving $12.5M in cash in 2018 because the Bucs will be paying Jason Pierre-Paul's $11.25M base salary, $1M in per game roster bonuses & $250,000 workout bonus. The Giants get $2.5M of 2018 salary cap relief. There's $15M in dead money from his $20M signing bonus. https://t.co/i0b5d5Msbo

The New York Giants made a big trade today with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that will send DE Jason Pierre-Paul to the NFC South. The Giants are sending JPP and their 4th round pick(#103) for the Bucs 3rd(#69) and 4th(#108) round picks this year. New York takes a $15 million cap hit this year to move on from their former All-Pro DE.
The Giants have a whole new regime in place after their disastrous 2017 season. Dsvid Gettlemsn replaced GM Jerry Reese and Pat Shurmu replaced HC Ben McAdoo. New DC James Bettcher will reportedly switch the Giants to a 3-4 scheme.
The Giants have the #2 pick in this year's draft and many had them taking one of the top QBs to take over for an aging Eli Manning soon. Gettleman has shown support for Manning this offseason. Other names linked to the Giants are RB Saquon Barkley, G Quenton Nelson, DE Bradley Chubb. The possibility they draft Chubb just got a little better after today's trade.
