Redskins agreed to a two-year deal with CB Orlando Scandrick worth a max of $10m, source says
— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) March 19, 2018
The Redskins have reportedly signed CB Orlando Scandrick to a 2 year deal worth up to $10 million. This signing fills Bruce Allen's annual requirement to sign a former player from the Dallas Cowboys. The Redskins were in the market for CB depth after trading slot CB Kendall Fuller and a 3rd round pick for QB Alex Smith. They also let starter Bashaud Breeland walk in free agency. The Redskins slso hosted Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for a visit, but could not come to terms on a deal.
A key to signing Scandrick: DRC $$ was too high; probably a few million more than they wanted. Also: they deseparately wanted to add smart/savvy vets to DB group. Why they also looked at S kurt Coleman a while back. Enter Scandrick
