Multiple sources have reported that former Redskins cornerback Bashaud Breeland has failed his physical with the Panthers, thus voiding his contract. This is the 2nd former Redskins player to have a deal announced, only to have it voided after a failed physical. WR Ryan Grant was set to sign a 4 year, $29 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens that was voided after a failed physical for an ankle sprain. Breeland and Grant remain free agents.
CB Bashaud Breeland failed a physical and won’t be signing with the Panthers.

With Bashaud Breeland, there was a non-football incident that occured recently, a source said. It was supposedly nothing that would hold up a deal. Guess it was,

Almost #Panthers CB Bashaud Breeland cut his foot in a non-football injury and it got infected, source said. He is now a few months away from being able to pass a physical. Brutal.

I'm told Bashaud Breeland's infected foot was the end result of an ATV accident.

Breeland had agreed to a 3-year, $24 million dollar contract with his hometown team, that included an $8.5 million signing bonus, and an average salary of $8 million per year.
