The Redskins are reportedly going to sign their top target at WR this week. Former Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson is expected to sign a 5 year deal worth $40 million, with $20 million in guarantees. Richardson(6”, 183lbs, 25yo) had his best season in the NFL last year with 44 catches for 703 yards and 6 TDs.
He is a former 2nd round pick out of Colorado, who tore his ACL in 2012 before his junior season. Richardson also tore his ACL at the end of his rookie season in a playoff win over the Panthers. Richardson’s 2015 season also ended early due to injury(hamstring).
From earlier:
The name that has been linked to the Redskins for weeks has been the Seahawks’ Paul Richardson. The Redskins sorely missed DeSean Jackson’s speed last season and Head Coach Jay Gruden has talked about adding some juice to the WR position. Richardson has the ability to make big plays, and would be a good player for new Redskins QB Alex Smith this season.
I just want to say thank you to the entire seahawks organization for believing in me, drafting… https://t.co/5lkJ0Sn60y
