The Redskins have another visit lined up with a free agent they think could help their front 7 scheduled for early next week. Washington will host former Dallas Cowboys DE Benson Mayowa on Tuesday. It was reported earlier today that the Redskins will also host former Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson if he leaves a visit with the Chiefs without a contract this weekend.

The Redskins were reported to be one of the teams to schedule a visit with Mayowa earlier today by Rob Rang, and that meeting is now confirmed. Washington has a history of signing former Cowboys on defense that don't meet expectations, and are past their prime.
Mayowa(6'3", 263lbs) played two years of his three year deal with the Cowboys before being released this week. He started 8 games and had 7 sacks over two years, with most of that coming from the 2016 season. Mayowa was depth and injured last year, making him an easy cut for Dallas. Does Mayowa sign with the Redskins, probably not, but he is available and he's a former Cowboy so they have to give him a sniff.
