That game took a year off of my life, and I wasn’t even expecting a win. The Redskins have given up on the season after starting the year 6-3 and in 1st place in the NFC East. It’s over, and no one is even trying to pretend that they are trying anymore. Josh Johnson was the highlight of the game which tells you all you need to know.
Another long run by Barkley here. Pernell McPhee gets shoved inside by the TE on the edge, forcing Swearinger to try and scrape to secure the edge. Nobody left to fill the gap. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix again just run by. pic.twitter.com/RWI329px49

Good job by Mark Sanchez staying poised with a defender around his feet, still found Crowder over the middle, but Crowder dropped it. #Redskins receivers have t help him out pic.twitter.com/wtxEziB185

I'd suggest the Giants have someone account for Ryan Kerrigan... pic.twitter.com/xzMbYRkFSP
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 9, 2018
Giants clearly know Skins tendencies. They got Barkley matched up on Kerrigan in coverage in the last game a couple times. Got it again there, but Barkley dropped it. pic.twitter.com/ae9A9rVuSI

Still would be terrified if I saw Trent Williams pulling to the edge. #Redskins get some nice blocks by their TE/WRs here and Trent kicks out to create a lane for Chris Thompson pic.twitter.com/l3kPrdmqu4
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 9, 2018
At the end of the Adrian Peterson 1st down run, Jordan Reed got his ankle rolled up on (see at the end of the play).
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) December 9, 2018
He limped off the field.#Redskins pic.twitter.com/4BqScObJoG
#Redskins love to peel blitz, where they sent the inside backer up the middle and have an edge guy peel off and cover the back if he runs a route. Gets a free rusher here, but also leaves Preston Smith on Barkley. pic.twitter.com/uALJU4TwX7
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 9, 2018
#Redskins rookie DT Daron Payne adds another sack to his tally. Working against the RG here, gets a nice punch with his left hand to the chest of the guard and drives him back from there with a long arm. Shows great strength to grab and hold onto Manning for the sack. pic.twitter.com/xSkWLGltg6

The #Redskins find themselves down 7-0 after Sanchez's pass is tipped and returned for a touchdown by Curtis Riley.

Unlucky? Maybe. pic.twitter.com/lCanqxIspe
Mark Sanchez, passing from his own end zone, Sanchez looks to find Josh Doctson off play-action. Giants DE gets his hands up and tips the pass, enabling the easiest pick-6 the safety will ever see pic.twitter.com/AiMXEkKV06

Fabian Moreau doesn't secure the route before looking back for the ball. Needs to force the receiver more to the sideline and feel him on your hip to know the route is secure before turning to find the ball pic.twitter.com/zi9l09sYw8

Ryan Kerrigan will get the sack on the stat sheet, but this was equally due to Daron Payne and Jonathan Allen.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) December 9, 2018
All three #Redskins defenders just dominated their blocker/s on this play, and probably saved a TD.
Great endzone stand. pic.twitter.com/OuPDCahLqU
Nice pressure from both Kerrigan and Payne on Kerrigan's sack. Payne swipes the RG's hands away and rips through to create initial pressure, Kerrigan runs the arc and Manning turns into him for the sack #Redskins pic.twitter.com/HnKyzKqgTf
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 9, 2018
Barkley 76-yard TD - #Giants run zone with a TE sift. TE sifts back to pick up Swearinger. Creates an extra gap on the back side that the #Redskins failed to account for. Clinton-Dix never looked likely to win in a race. pic.twitter.com/9m4BJkJ6Il

Sanchez threw this ball behind Crowder.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) December 9, 2018
Crowder got finger tips on it, and deflected the ball into the hands of the defense.
Sanchez interception #2. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/zXf0Iw68oM
Pass from Sanchez was behind Crowder, perhaps because Sanchez was worried about the LB behind him, but it was too far behind and Crowder could only end up tipping it up to a Giants defender for an INT #Redskins pic.twitter.com/K2TcwGxWJ5
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 9, 2018
Josh Norman got unlucky here.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) December 9, 2018
Blocked directly into a receiver on the slant, getting wedged and leaving his opponent wide open in the endzone. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/qPiqcXKaX3
Great job on the film study this week by the #Giants. #Redskins overplayed the double-slant on the goalline last week, this week, the Giants add a twist, fake the double slant and then peel off outside. wide open TD pic.twitter.com/xZCtmftrWH
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 9, 2018
Irrelevant at his point, but Stroman had a chance to make an INT and prevent the Giants from scoring again. Dropped the INT, Giants get a FG to go up 34-0 at the half. pic.twitter.com/Mcm88kGtC3

Another TD for the Giants. Bootleg this time, receiver aligns tight to the formation, runs a delayed flat route, makes the catch and runs it in for a TD. #Redskins day getting worse pic.twitter.com/le5NVOT9gJ
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 9, 2018
Exactly what I was talking about last week with Kaepernick. With so many injuries up front, having a quarterback that can run helps the offensive line in the run game. Johnson keeps it on the RO and picks up a first down. Suddenly the #Redskins offense is moving the ball.. pic.twitter.com/vctozHoCoP

Nice job by Mason Foster reading the crosser and undercutting the route to make the INT. pic.twitter.com/cZhnwQj4Fl

Oh, hey! A positive #Redskins play?

Mason Foster reads the play well and easily picks off Kyle Lauletta. pic.twitter.com/lPOWdutzOH
Josh Johnson 8yd touchdown run for the Washington #Redskins.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) December 9, 2018
(No funny caption because nothing is funnier than reality) pic.twitter.com/BM2DT8eJ6g
Nice job by Johnson finding a way to get in the end zone. Stood in the pocket for a while, nothing available, so made the play happen with his legs. Irrelevant in this game, but would imagine Johnson starts next week. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/yXGc0821LV
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 9, 2018
Looked like a simple Dusty concept (double unders) on the Crowder TD. Simple dump off and Crowder ran away from the defense. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/W1HdoqQbPi
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 9, 2018
A legitimately good leading throw to a receiver in space, and an even better run after the catch from Crowder.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) December 9, 2018
79 yards. Touchdown. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/vwKFNflwXd
And the #Redskins easily convert the two-point attempt with Johnson finding Floyd in the endzone on a well-executed play action.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) December 9, 2018
Haha. What a day. pic.twitter.com/VODKqyQO9r
Johnson now throws an INT looking for Doctson over the middle. Safety has inside leverage on Doctson, who tries to shake him a bit with a fake step outside. But the safety doesn't bite, finds the ball and drives to it to make the INT. pic.twitter.com/jI9RmV5a1F
