The Redskins made a few moves yesterday, but have officially announced them along with a few more transactions. We knew the Redskins were signing QB Josh Johnson, G Zac Kerin, and OLB Marcus Smith II. The have also signed C Demetrius Rhaney.
The Redskins lost Colt McCoy with a broken fibula, but they are waiting to place him on IR until at least after this week’s game against the Giants. Dr. Gruden gave a 2-4 week time frame for a return, which seems very optimistic. The Redskins also lost LG Jonathan Cooper, who was placed on IR with a bicep injury. Tony Bergstrom suffered a high ankle sprain which will keep him out for several weeks. Ryan Anderson left the game with a hamstring injury.
Quinton Dunbar’s long struggle to come back from a mystery shin/leg/nerve injury ended today and he will finish the season on IR. He attempted to come back, but was clearly not healthy enough to compete. Trey Quinn lands back on IR after he reaggravated his ankle injury following two games in a short period of time. Quinn made a big impact in his return, but it was ultimately short-lived.
