Redskins Vs. Eagles - Studs and Duds (Doom and Gloom Edition)

Mark Tyler gives you his Studs and Duds of the Redskins game against the Eagles.

NFL: Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Doom and gloom has finally set in in D.C. To say this Redskins team is snake-bitten, would be a massive understatement!

The game was horrible on all accounts, and it seems the Skins’ playoff hopes are now finally over.

Below are my Studs and Duds of the game, followed by some notes.

Studs:

Josh Norman - Norman had a big interception in the endzone to end a scoring threat in the third quarter, and he held Alshon Jeffery in check on the evening.

Tress Way - I know, it’s sad when your punter is on the Studs list. Either way, the man averaged over 48 yards per punt on the evening.

Duds:

Trent Williams - I know he’s not 100 percent, but his blocking was poor, the penalties were bad and his overall body language looked like he didn’t want to be out there.

Morgan Moses - Moses is good for at least one false start penalty per game, and you can usually count on him for a few holding calls too. He didn’t disappoint Monday night.

Luke Bowanko - Wow, “it was rough” is all I can say.

Mason Foster - I’m sorry, but HOW IN THE HELL is this guy still starting? I almost feel bad putting him on this list at this point, but watching him attempt to play inside linebacker is VERY painful. To top it off, he takes cheap shots at the Eagles tight ends late in the game.

Ryan Anderson - My goodness - is this guy capable of getting off a block? He’s never going to be a big playmaker...I get it, but at least do SOMETHING!

Greg Stroman - Missed tackles and not making plays on the ball seem to be a theme for many of the Redskins defensive backs this season. Stroman held true to this Monday night.

Fabian Moreau - He hasn’t progressed like the staff had hoped - actually, he’s gotten worse. Poor tackling, bad angles and horrible coverage won’t get you far in this league.

Greg Manusky - He may be worse than Joe Barry...if that’s possible. Hey Greg, get the HELL out of the damn 3-4! It doesn’t work for us; it NEVER has! I swear this guy must be asleep during film session - how else could you explain the personnel choices he makes.

Bruce Allen - My goodness - just dump this guy now.

Notes:

- Mark Sanchez now has a butt fumble and a butt recovery.

- Jehu Chesson was very good on special teams.

- Please tell me why the Skins didn’t put Nsekhe in at left guard when Cooper got hurt?

- Can Shaun Dion-Hamilton or Josh Harvey-Clemons be any worse than Mason Foster? Can we at least try them to see?
