Wow! Colt McCoy left the game with a lower leg injury, and Mark Sanchez entered the game. His first play as a Redskin was predictably a run call. What wasn’t predictable was how bad the Eagles defense was at that moment. Adrian Peterson cut through the defense, and barreled down the field for a 90 yard TD run, the longest of his storied NFL career. The Redskins got the first lead of the game at 10-7 after this amazing run.
Peterson TD - left side of the OL get kick outs, C Chase Roullier works up to the Mike and seals him off. RG Bergstrom does just enough on Cox to give Peterson a lane #Redskins pic.twitter.com/DSwMGGp5Tf
