Hruden says Nsekhe is a longer shot to play on Sunday than Ioannidis

Jordan Reed:
Gruden to the podium. He says Jordan Reed did some good things this year and any statistical deficiency he thinks is more about the quarterback changes than anything.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) December 27, 2018
Gruden on Reed’s shutdown: “I don’t think this is a bad injury. He could probably play next week.”
— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) December 27, 2018
But there won’t be a next week, so on IR for now.
Eagles game:
Gruden says they’re very critical in their evaluations of every game. “This game is important. I want to see their character. I want to see them compete.”
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) December 27, 2018
After the game:
“We’ll have obviously exit physicals, we’ll have a team meeting in the morning after the game and then after that, after they get their physicals and exit physicals I’ll try to meet with each and every one of them throughout the course of this week and next week before they go. Then, obviously I’ll probably have to meet with the owner at some point and see what the deal is.”
Business executive firings yesterday:
Jay Gruden called yesterday’s news unfortunate and said he had gotten to know some of the business executives that were fired. He also said it won’t matter “one bit” for Sunday’s game.

Gruden on how the news of business executives being fired impacts Sunday: “Not one bit. I had nothing to do with any of that. It’s unfortunate.” #Redskins

Adrian Peterson’s durability:
”Yeah, I’m not surprised by it, but it doesn’t happen very often for a back his age to do what he’s done. Accomplished what he’s accomplished, getting over 1,000 yards, playing through some painful injuries, really. Practicing, working hard, being a great teammate, just been very impressed with Adrian’s total package so to speak. It was a blessing in disguise. Obviously we missed Derrius [Guice], we had high hopes for him. Rob Kelley went down, we needed a back and it’s not very often you get to sign a Hall of Fame type back to your roster when you have a couple of injuries. Fortunately, he was around, we signed him and he’s everything as advertised.”
Bringing Peterson back next season:
”Yeah, it could happen. We’ll see what happens. I’m sure he’s got to weigh his options out, as do we and we’ll go from there. But, like I said, we’re a long way from that. We’re just trying to focus on the Eagles right now and put our best foot forward to try and get a win the last game of the year.”

— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) December 27, 2018
Manusky says there are times when he would take suggestions from players/coaches. He remembers 3 or 4 times when Swearinger did. He’d tell him they’d look at it.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) December 27, 2018
Asked if DJ Swearinger crossed the line, Greg Manusky just says, “he said what he said.”
