The Redskins have won three games in a row and are on top of the NFC East at 5-2. They got their second division win last week against the New York Giants. The Redskins now host the Atlanta Falcons(3-4) for an important NFC game.
Jamison Crowder has been ruled out for the fourth game in a row, and will reportedly miss several weeks. Maurice Harris will work from the slot position again this week. Paul Richardson Jr.(shoulder/knee) has been limited all week, and will be a game-time decision on Sunday.
Michael Floyd and Brian Quick split reps last week, and will likely continue to both see the field if Richardson is out again. Josh Doctson was not listed on this week’s injury report and will start against New York.
Adrian Peterson is still dealing with shoulder and knee injuries, but will start again this week. Chris Thompson has been ruled for tomorrow’s game after suffering a new rib injury last week. Kapri Bibbs separated his shoulder during last week’s game and is questionable this week after being limited in every practice. If the team expects Bibbs to miss the game, expect a roster move for Mack Brown to be signed from the practice squad(Byron Marshall is eligible to return from IR on Monday). Samaje Perine will be active again.
The biggest injury news this week was LT Trent Williams having thumb surgery, and he could reportedly miss about a month. Williams is the best LT in the game, and a key part of the Redskins offense. Ty Nsekhe steps in for him, but will be a downgrade. Washington’s offensive line also has a few players dealing with lingering injuries[Shawn Lauvao(calf), Brandon Scherff(MCL)].
The Redskins are 2 point favorites against the Falcons going into Sunday’s home game.
