Tweet of the Day: the Redskins will not play a team that currently has a winning record the rest of the season

The Redskins’ remaining opponents have a combined 20-27 record

NFL: Carolina Panthers at Washington Redskins Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

It’s just a fact: the Redskins will not play a team that currently has a winning record for the remainder of the 2018 season. The combined record of their future opponents is 20-27, with five teams sitting at .500: the Cowboys, Eagles, Titans, Texans, and Jaguars.

While it certainly doesn’t guarantee anything for Washington, the Redskins will face an eminently “beatable” team each week from now through December, boosting their chances of securing a NFC playoff spot. Per ESPN, the Redskins currently have a 25% chance of making the postseason.
