The Redskins have released LB Nico Marley, per source.
— John Keim (@john_keim) September 2, 2017
Undrafted free agent LB Nico Marley was a fan favorite all summer. The notoriety of being music legend Bob Marley’s grandson(for most people) was quickly surpassed by his aggressive play on the field. The undersized(5’8”, 200lbs) LB from Tulane looked like a longshot when he was signed, but quickly had people questioning if he could be a London Fletcher-like story in the NFL. Marley will reportedly be released today, but is eligible for the Redskins practice squad if they feel he an be developed at this level, but nothing is guaranteed.
Hearing Marley to PSquad unlikely because Skins plan to keep 5ILBs: That would mean Foster, Brown, Compton, Spaight and ... Harvey-Clemons?
