Former Redskins GM Scot McCloughan has made it official and has filed a grievance against the team. He claims the team fired him without cause back in March. The team claims he was fired with cause including rumors from that one “unnamed Redskins official” who claimed in an interview than McCloughan was fired because of a relapse related to alcoholism. McCloughan seeks to claim 22 months of pay remaining on his contract that he says is owed to him based on the contract specifics. He will also seek to prove that he made the team better and that there was no legitimate reason for his firing. Commissioner Goodell will decide the matter.

What was a messy situation and obvious PR blunder by the team a few months ago now gets messier. As fans of this team let’s hope this is resolved swiftly.
