Kavan Latham Returns to Washington as a Part of Strength & Conditioning Staff

Current Redskins Role: Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach (1st year)

Experience as a Player: 4 years in college (defensive tackle, College of New Jersey)

Coaching Highlights: Assistant Coach (2011-2012, College of New Jersey), Strength & Conditioning Intern (2013, Washington Redskins), Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach (2015-2016, New York Jets)

What He Brings to the Team: Latham carries multiple certifications related to strength & conditioning, weighlifting, nutrition, and stretching. With the combination of his professional experience and his athletic experience (in addition to playing football, Latham also threw shot put, discus, and hammer in college), Latham established himself as an asset to Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Chad Englehart when he returned to the Redskins’ staff in January 2017.

Fun Fact: Latham is due to marry his fiancée, Sara, in March of next year in Costa Rica.
