Powerlifter Deuce Gruden Brings Championship Experience to Strength & Conditioning Staff

Experience as a Player: 4 years in college (tailback, Lafayette)

Coaching Highlights: Strength & Conditioning intern (2016, Redskins)

What He Brings to the Team: Gruden brings instant credibility to his position through his experience and success as a powerlifter. He won the junior 183-lb weight class at the IPF World Class Powerlifting Championship last month in Belarus. According to the Redskins, Gruden is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Fun Fact: Jon David Gruden II has football in his blood. He is the son of NFL coaching legend and MNF personality Jon Gruden and the nephew of the Redskins’ current head coach, Jay Gruden.
