The 5 O'Clock Club: A final goodbye to 2016

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere...

NFL: Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The 5 o’clock club aims to provide a forum for reader-driven discussion at a time of day when there isn’t much NFL news being published. Feel free to introduce topics that interest you in the comments below.

With Training Camp starting, I wanted to give one last look back over the shoulder at some of the players, coaches and executives that the Redskins franchise said goodbye to after last season’s campaign ended.

DeSean Jackson - WR

Pierre Garcon - WR

Chris Baker - DL

John Sullivan - C

Terence Garvin - ILB

Duke Ihenacho - S

Donte Whitner - S

Robb Akey - Defensive Line Coach

Joe Barry - Defensive Coordinator

Scot McCloughan - General Manager

This is an incomplete list, but it touches on some of the higher profile names that are no longer with the Redskins franchise.

How do you feel about losing these players, coaches & executive?

Is it “good riddance” once a player sheds the burgundy & gold, or will you die a little inside when you see touchdown passes being caught by Garcon in a 49ers uniform or Jackson in Tampa Bay?
