Still angry with Bruce Allen?
Still wanna talk about the Kirk Cousins contract situation?
Have at it in the comments section, if you like.
Today, I’m gonna talk about players.
When I think of the Pittsbugh Steelers, I think of the Steel Curtain, and I think of great linebacker play.
When I think of the Green Bay Packers, I think of the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field.
The Chargers still make me think of Air Coryell after all these years.
When I think about the Redskins, the first thing I think about is the Hogs.
The second thing I think about is all the great running backs the team has fielded over the decades (tune in to the 5 o’clock club tomorrow for more on Redskins running backs).
And — while a lot of people wouldn’t necessarily think about cornerback play when they think of Washington -- the team has had it’s fair share of great CB play. In fact, arguably the greatest Redskin of all time -- #28 — Darrell Green, was the best cornerback in the league back in the day, and he played for 20 years.
Today, the team boasts Josh Norman, who is among the best in the game today, and has a competent supporting cast that includes Bashaud Breeland, Quinton Dunbar, Kendall Fuller, Dashaun Phillips, draft picks Montae Nicholson and Joshua Holsey.
With converted CBs DeAngelo Hall and Will Blackmon also on the roster at free safety, the Redskins have depth and flexibility at this key defensive position.
Here’s a list of several key players at the CB position playing for our rivals in the NFC East. The source for these roster names is Our Lads.
Philadelphia
Jalen Mills, Patrick Robinson, Dwayne Gratz, Ron Brooks, Aaron Grymes + draft picks Sidney Jones and Rasul Douglas

- Which team in the NFC East has the best group of cornerbacks?
- Which team has the worst?
- If you wanted to pick the three “beastiest” cornerbacks in teh conference (LCB, RCB, slot/nickel) which three players would you choose?
