DeAngelo Hall told reporters today that he has restructured his contract with the Washington Redskins, taking a pay cut to stay with the team. Hall, 34, signed a 4 year contract extension with the team in 2014, and is entering the final year of his contract. The Redskins could have cut Hall, saving $4.25 million this season. They will likely reduce his deal closer to the vet-minimum, and include incentives for the 14 year veteran.
Hall’s last three seasons with the Redskins have ended with injuries, with Hall only appearing in 17 games, starting 13. This is likely Hall’s last season in the NFL, and even though he took a pay cut, there is no guarantee he makes the team. The Redskins appreciate his leadership, but his health and age are a huge issue. Now, his contract likely isn’t.
UPDATE: Reported contract details
DHall's base salary goes from $4.25 million to $2.3 million now, plus a $250,000 bonus if he were to make it to the Pro Bowl, source says.

Hall said he considered doing some things outside of football but then decided he wasn't done playing yet. Feels like he can contribute.
