It is always a fun night in the basement on Tuesdays... even more so when you get to chat with the starting running back for YOUR Washington Redskins, Robert Kelley. It never gets old learning that a player you love to watch play football is also a really cool guy. We got Rob talking about his hometown, New Orleans, and I watched Kevin carefully scribble notes as Rob told us where to eat when we were in town.
Everyone knows that the Redskins are being connected to running backs in this upcoming draft, so we asked Rob about the idea of adding talent to the backfield and what it means to a player to be part of a strong corps of backs.
And we also made sure to pass along Dan Hellie’s “Fat Rob” nickname question.
This summer, you can join Rob at his football camp. Sports International Football Camps is hosting their annual Redskins football again this summer. The Robert Kelley Football Camp featuring Josh Norman will be at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA from July 17-20th. The camp is for any football player ages 7-18 and offers both overnight and commuter camper options. Rob and Josh will be out at camp instructing and working with the campers. Sign up today! Thanks for listening, and HTTR!
