Redskins Free Agency and NFL Legal Tampering Day 2, Live Updates and Rumors

The 2nd day of the negotiating window

NFL: Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Rams Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Live Updates:

The window for the NFL’s legal tampering opened yesterday at noon, and goes until March 9th at 4pm when free agency officially begins. Many deals have already been discussed over the last week at the NFL Combine, and will begin to be reported today. Teams must work through player’s agents during this time, and no official contracts can be signed until free agency opens.

The Redskins will have ~$35 million in cap space going into free agency this year. Washington is expected to look for help on the defensive line, along with a WR or two to replace DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garçon if they are not re-signed. Several Redskins free agents are expected to get early offers from other teams with Jackson, Garçon, and Chris Baker getting the most attention.
