The Redskins finalized their 2017 coaching staff today with four final moves:
- Hired Chris O’Hara as Offensive QC
- Promoted Bill Callahan to Assistant HC/OL Coach
- Promoted Chad Grimm to OLB Coach
- Promoted Bret Munsey to Assistant ST Coach
O’Hara comes to Washington from the Jacksonville Jaguars where he spent the last three years working as an offensive coaching associate. Prior to that, he worked as a defensive coach at the University of Miami.
Callahan received a promotion by way of adding “Assistant HC” to his title. He was already the Redskins OL Coach. It’s a natural move as Callahan is a former NFL HC.
Grimm has been Defensive QC for the ‘Skins for the past two seasons and they’ve decided to promote him to OLB Coach. Last year he assisted current DC (and then OLB Coach) Greg Manusky with the OLBs. He is the son of famed Redskins Russ Grimm.
Munsey is entering his fourth season with the Redskins. While he has assisted the coaching staff with the STs units, he officially gets the title of Assistant ST Coach this year.
