Hi All, the past few days I’ve been short on time putting in extra time at work. I hope you all still enjoy these brief takeaways from this past week's games.
Buffalo vs. New York (Jets)
It started out close but then the Bills stopped playing. Google Bilal Powell’s run it was great and the Jets may not be good or consistent but they came to play on Thursday.
Baltimore vs. Tennessee
I don’t follow Baltimore football all that much but this is the worst/most inconsistent Ravens team I’ve seen in some time. Kevin Byard had two picks - he’s one of the best safeties in the league.
Los Angeles (Rams) vs. New York (Giants)
Hiring Sean McVay was a good call by the Rams. We sure do miss him in D.C. That LA offense is on fire and it showed against a terrible team like the Giants.
Indianapolis vs. Houston
Houston may be out of the race for the AFC South but it doesn’t make sense for them to tank with a QB that doesn't do anything well like Tom Savage. I actually think they should salvage what they can and look elsewhere for a QB that fits their offense. The Colts have ruined Andrew Luck. It’s a good thing Jacoby Brissett and TY Hilton went off at least the fanbase has hope there.
Denver vs. Philadelphia
It’s very painful to me to announce the Eagles are going to the NFC Championship at least. The Broncos are going to be trash as long as they keep playing these trash QBs.
Atlanta vs. Panthers
That Atlanta offense has really fallen far without Kyle Shannahan. The Panthers are barely any better.
Tampa Bay vs. New Orleans
With a more than manageable schedule, I think the Saints are a darkhorse candidate to go far in the playoffs. Tampa can’t do anything well except for poke helmets and push guys when they aren't looking.
Cincinnati vs. Jacksonville
There were two forces of energy present in this game - the Jacksonville defense and A.J. Green’s hands - though his brain was unaccounted for.
Arizona vs. San Francisco
Surprisingly Drew Stanton didn't stink up the joint. C.J. Beathard did. I feel bad for him. He’s on a terrible team with a coach seemingly looking to replace him as fast as possible.
Kansas City vs. Dallas
I’m really disappointed in Kansas City for not doing us a solid after that excellent “hail mary” before halftime.
Washington vs. Seattle
The Redskin defense was pretty damn good. Blair Walsh is terrible. Kirk Cousins and Josh Doctson stepped up when they needed to. Seattle’s defense is nowhere near what it once was. Their offense needs balance and they haven't had a running game all season.
Oakland vs. Miami
I'm not sure what to make of the Raiders other than they have severely underperformed this season. It was good for their offense that Lynch was somewhat effective on the ground. That balance was enough to overcome Jay Cutler having his best game of the season.
Detroit vs. Green Bay
Matthew Stafford to Marvin Jones is pretty good. It's going to take a lot of time for Hudley to develop. Without Aaron Rodgers, the Packers can expect to keep losing.
