The Redskins have officially placed RB Rob Kelley(high-ankle, MCL sprains) and LB Will Compton(Lisfranc) on injured reserve. Jay Gruden said it was a possibility that both would go to IR yesterday, and the team would likely be looking for replacements.

It was reported earlier today that the Redskins were signing RB Byron Marshall from the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. Also the reported signing of DT Caraun Reid and release of DL Brandon Banks were made official by the team. DL Tavaris Barnes was released from the practice squad and Banks is expected to be re-signed there if he clears waivers.

That leaves one open roster spot for the Redskins who have Zach Brown, Martrell Spaight, and rookie Josh Harvey-Clemons and the ILB position. Washington will reportedly sign LB Zach Vigil who was with the team in the offseason.
