Rob Kelley has high-ankle and MCL sprains, Redskins thin at RB

Another injury for Rob Kelley

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Washington Redskins Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Redskins running back Rob Kelley has been dealing with injuries all season long, and this week just added to the list. Kelley exited the game after suffering what appeared to be a serious injury. He fumbled the ball on the play, but after review the call was reversed.

Kelley did not return to the game, and it was also announced he re-injured his ankle. Ian Rapoport is reporting he has a high-ankle sprain, and a grade 1 / 2 MCL sprain. There hasn't been a timeline given yet, but Redskins Head Coach Jay Gruden is scheduled to address the media at 3pm.

If Kelley misses any amount of time, the Redskins are very thin at running back with 7 games to go in the season. The team recently waived Mack Brown hoping to re-sign him, but the Minnesota Vikings claimed him. The team has had running backs workout at least three times this season, and could be forced to sign someone for depth to go with Samaje Perine and Chris Thompson.
