DeAngelo Hall expects to return to the field for the Redskins on Sunday

The Redskins are thin at safety

NFL: Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

DeAngelo Hall returned to practice for the Redskins on October 23rd, and believes he will be activated off the PUP list this week. Hall hasn’t played since tearing his ACL in Week 3 last season. Hall has only played 17 games over the previous 3 seasons, starting 13 of them. He took restructured his contract in June, and then again in September, taking pay cuts before his final year under contract with the Redskins.

The Redskins are hurting everywhere, but only have two healthy safeties going into this week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. Washington placed backup safety Stefan McClure on IR today to sign DE Arthur Jones. They have D.J. Swearinger and Deshazor Everett, and rookie Montae Nicholson who is dealing with shoulder injuries. If Hall is activated this week, look for the Redskins to cut one of their 12 offensive linemen currently on the roster, depending on who is healthy this week.
