After four weeks of football, we have learned a ton about the Washington Redskins. Most of what we have learned has been fairly positive, albeit with some glaring deficiencies rearing their ugly heads at inopportune times. I think it would be fair to say that the drama has been compelling thus far into the 2017 campaign, leading to some amazing television.
Covering the television show that is Redskins football is The Audible, on its weekly “After the Whistle” episode. From Jon Gruden’s mastery of his brother’s offense, to slow-motion athleticism suspended at insane heights in the back of the end zone as the hourglass drained its last grains of sand. Yes, like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of—wait, that might be too soapy even for me.
Despite the loss on Monday—to the league’s last undefeated team—the basement was as festive a place as you could find on Tuesday. We lamented that which needed to be lamented (penalties, penalties, dropped passes, penalties), and we celebrated that which deserves to be celebrated (this Redskins roster is full of talent).
The bye week is upon us, but we will be back next Tuesday regardless—irregardless even. Thanks to everyone who joined us on Facebook Live—we are going to continue upping our video game over at 1st Amendment Sports, so stay tuned!
