Redskins Injury Report: Trent Williams and Brandon Scherff won’t play vs Cowboys

The Redskins will be without 3 of their 5 starting OL vs the Cowboys

NFL: Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The Redskins offensive line is going to look a whole lot different this week. Last week’s game against the Eagles was brutal for both sides, with major injuries happening throughout the game. The Redskins offensive line was decimated with the majority of the starters getting hurt at some point. Starters like Trent Williams(knee), Spencer Long(knee), and Morgan Moses(ankles) had been dealing with injuries already this year.

Center Spencer Long had already been ruled out of today’s game after injuring both knees/quads last week. Brandon Scherff seemed likely to not play from reports during the week. He will rest this week per multiple sources.

Trent Williams is always harder to determine whether he will play through an injury. He usually can play through injuries without practicing during the week. His knee injury is serious enough that he has said he will need surgery whenever his season ends. He has been playing through immense pain, and now doctors want him to rest for at least this week. The waiting game for his season to end continues.

The Redskins made several moves within the last week to add depth to their offensive line. Earlier this week they signed former Raiders 3rd round pick Tony Bergstrom. Yesterday the team announced they signed former 4th round pick Arie Kouandjio from the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. Kouandjio was released during the Redskins final cuts this year after spending 2 years on the roster. They also signed Orlando Franklin after working him out earlier in the week.

Redskins projected starting lineup for today:

LT T.J. Clemmings

LG Shawn Lauvao

C Chase Roullier

RG Tyler Catalina

RT Morgan Moses
