The LA Rams are no longer alone in their pursuit of Redskins OC Sean McVay. After interviewing with them yesterday, McVay is all set to interview with the SF 49ers on Monday for their vacant HC position. He’s considered by some (Vegas) to be the favorite for the job in SF. Others on the short list for the ‘9ers include Josh McDaniels, Tom Cable, Anthony Lynn, and Doug Marrone.
McVay’s grandfather, John McVay, was the GM and VP for the 49ers back in the 80s and 90s. He helped build five SB-winning teams during his time there. Needless to say, John McVay was a very popular figure in the Bay Area and was inducted into the 49ers HoF in 2013.
It’s looking more and more like Sean McVay may be leaving the Redskins sooner than later...
