The Redskins will reportedly interview former Cowboys and Saints Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan. Chris Russell mentioned Ryan as a candidate in an article posted yesterday, and Albert Breer tweeted it out this morning.
Some other interesting names are now in the mix for the defensive coordinator position. The team is expected to ramp up the search early this week with a few interviews.
Former Saints and Cowboys defensive coordinator, Rob Ryan, appears to be one of those names and could be on the Redskins short list as a possible option to replace Joe Barry.
Ryan spent the last season with his brother Rex in Buffalo. Rex was Head Coach, and Rob served as Assistant Head Coach/defense with Dennis Thurman serving as the DC. The Redskins have previously interviewed Mike Pettine, and Gus Bradley for the position, and current LB coach Greg Manusky is the only person left on the defensive coaching staff being considered for DC.
Per sources, the Redskins will be interviewing ex-Bill ass't Rob Ryan for their defensive coordinator opening.
