Joe Barry has already landed a new job, and will be reuniting with with former Redskins offensive coordinator Sean McVay. Fox Sports reports that Barry will become the Los Angeles Rams LB coach and will also have an Assistant Head Coach title. Barry will be working under new Rams Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips who was reportedly a candidate for the same job with the Redskins this year(and two years ago when Barry was hired over him.

Barry was fired by the Redskins following a disappointing season that saw the team barely have a winning record, while barely missing the playoffs in the last week of the season. Barry’s defense was a problem, along with the personnel that were running it. The Redskins defense was 5th worst in yards allowed, worst in 3rd down defense, and seemed to give every RB they faced the game of the year. Changes in coaching and players were needed, and Barry was the first one to get the ax.
