The owner of the team formerly known as the San Diego Chargers, Dean Spanos, made it official this morning, the team is moving to Los Angeles. It was reported last night that he had made the decision, and was planning on informing his staff, but he had been wavering back and forth. The team will now join the Rams in L.A. and they will be sharing a new stadium after two seasons played at the StubHub Center(capacity 30,000). Spanos and the city of San Diego were not able work out a deal to keep the team in the city they’ve played in since 1959.

The Redskins play both the Chargers and the Rams this year, two of their three west coast road games. Is there a chance the Redskins could play back to back games in Los Angeles this year? The NFL schedule makers likely won’t be doing the Redskins any favors this year, but it would be a nice break in the schedule to avoid one of their cross country trips.
Slight update to our 2017 opponents.
