Redskins offense (finally) finds rhythm vs the Bills | ESPN Redskins Blog
Quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 3 of 9 passes for 17 yards in the first quarter; he went 9-for-14 for 171 yards and three touchdowns in the second. It's possible (likely) the slow start was the result of inactivity, as Cousins didn't play last week. He threw one pass under duress off his back foot, then was intercepted one play later when he threw to the sidelines for a covered receiver. It was sloppy, to say the least.

Josh Norman up, Kory Lichtensteiger down after preseason win | ESPN Redskins Blog
Cornerback Josh Norman: I loved how fired up he was; it's an indication of what he brings to the defense in addition to his talent. Norman was annoyed by more talk this week about him being overrated or not very good. The reality is, he's a very good corner. Norman's physical play caused Sammy Watkins to not get a good release on one play. Norman gave him a hard jam. Watkins then tried to lean into him and break inside, but Norman was right there.
Josh Norman responds to trolls with strong game against the Bills | ESPN Redskins Blog
Norman knows he'll have a target on him all season. He also knows he'll open the season with challenges against some top receivers -- Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown, Dallas' Dez Bryant and the Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. Norman won't be alone covering them -- Bashaud Breeland will be out there as well, depending on which side the receivers are aligned. Breeland's success makes it so that Washington can keep its corners to one side.
How Robert Kelley took the lead in the Redskins back-up RB race | CSN Mid-Atlantic
It was Robert Kelley, not fellow rookie Keith Marshall, who ran the ball consistently well in the absence of injured starter Matt Jones. Kelly had 12 carries for 51 yards. His longest run was nine yards indicating that he kept on grinding out years and not piling up a lot of them in one or two pops.

Redskins Cousins both lucky and unlucky versus the Bills | CSN Mid-Atlantic
The Redskins' first possession ended with a combination of bad luck and a bad decision by Cousins. He dropped back, looked to his left and then decided to go back to Rashad Ross on the right sideline. Cousins threw late and backup cornerback Corey White made a nice interception on his back.
