Player Overview
Jason Spriggs is a big but "lean" left tackle with excellent athleticism and some of the best fluidity in his feet I've seen. Spriggs is smooth in his kick slide and can stonewall rushers coming off the edge, has great mirror technique. He has a nice punch, extends his long arms to keep defenders away. Spriggs' athletic ability allows him to get to the second level and he's the type of tackles that has finishing quality and plays to the whistle. Spriggs only allowed 13 pressures his senior season. He is sure to be highly ranked by teams with a zone-blocking scheme in need of a left tackle.

How He Makes the Packers Better and Creates Problems for the Redskins
Spriggs is at the moment solidly entrenched as the Packers backup left tackle. He has been doing very well in Packers camp. In his preseason debut he impressive going against the Browns second stringers. It’s possible that Spriggs could be the Packers starting left tackle of the future as well. Starter David Bahktiari will be a free agent after this season. He (Bahktiari) has had his share of ups and downs during his first four years with Green Bay and the front office will sure to pay attention to his performance in a contract year. Spriggs most likely won't see a ton of time his rookie year with the exception of heavy blocking goal line or special teams packages.
Spriggs was arguably the most athletic lineman in this years past draft so it wouldn't surprise me if Mike McCarthy pulls a fast one and lines him up as an eligible receiver on goal line plays at least once this season. Spriggs is surprisingly agile and quick so the Redskins will have to prepare for his presence if that ends up being the case.
